SCM conducts tent meetings, furnishing the tent which seats nearly 200. The tent has side curtains, lights and a pulpit. We can furnish a music team, and when we do, we furnish the PA system. The church needs to furnish chairs, piano, and hymn books.
It takes about 5 or 6 men to set up the tent, and 2-3 hours of time. We do not charge anything for the tent, and conduct the meeting for a love offering.
Most tent meetings are scheduled in the late spring, summer and early fall. Those dates fill up fast, so if a church is interested, they should contact us as soon as possible.
Steve was pastor of First Baptist Church, Lenapah, Oklahoma from 1979 thu January 1990. During that time the church grew steadly, and never had a year without baptisms.
In 1984, he started doing evangelistic work with Cowboy Camp Meetings, then in Janurary 1990, entered into full time evangelism. For the last 10 years, SCM has averaged 50 meetings per year, conducting meetings in 15 states, in churches of all sizes.
Steve comes on a love offering bases, with no set amount asked for. Meetings are scheduled on a first confirmed bases, regardless of the size or location of the church.
Steve and his wife Mary lives and travels in a fifth wheel trailer, parking on church parking lots when availabe. They do not ask for any travel expenses, however if given it is very much appreciated.
